Dilution Lab

In class Friday we did a quick lab to reinforce what we learned in class that day about dilution. The lab included placing 20 drops of food coloring into 10mL of water. Then taking one mL of the stock solution and placing it in 9 mL of water. We continued this pattern until the food coloring was no longer visible. We then used the formula M1V1=M2V2 to perform the correct calculations.

  1. Maybe not the most exciting lab ever but not the worst and kind of neat to see the scale of more dilution to less.
